Instructor: Matt Peter

Matt is a licensed attorney and currently serves as the Director of Human Resources / Assistant to the Executive Director at Local Government Insurance Trust. Matt has more than twenty years of experience defending local governments and their employees in a variety of legal matters including civil rights actions (4th and 8th Amendment cases) and employment matters. As Director of Human Resources, he is responsible for handling the day-to-day human resources issues for LGIT and providing technical and legal assistance, as well as training, to LGIT’s membership. Matt received his JD from Syracuse University College of Law in 1998.
